It's the Spring holiday and nature is in abundance while we are carefully maintaining our social distance.
Today at Portobello, the beauty of the neap tide, the damp chill of the haar, and the predictable presence of the cormorant cheered me as I walked on the ridged sands of the sea bed.
Looking forward to more sociable times again when the tide has turned on this unwelcome virus.

Distance
The moon-drawn water
Gifts us distance,
Wet-sand-space
To wander
While aloft -
In its accustomed place -
The cormorant
Holds sway.
